I thought going into this new journey should be different for me. Self-development is something I’m putting at the forefront of my life. I’m learning and accepting that in order for me to take care of others, I have to take care of myself first, and that’s mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

I am Human. I have a soul and I live in a body. So that means, I live, breathe, make decisions, create and feel all things. I want to do things differently, and I can do it because no matter what, I have a choice. The stage that I am in, in my life you might be right at too. It’s that stage where nothing matters but you. It’s not a selfish stage; it’s actually a selfless stage. This selfless stage is where you’re either out of your head or getting out of your head. It’s the stage where you see yourself or you’re finally seeing yourself. Don’t rush love because you are actually there. Go at the beat of your own drum because the rhythm that we hear is only for us.
In the month of January, I’m going on a self-discovery journey because last year, I don’t know about you, but I’ve been through things that I put myself through. So with that being said, I got to get myself up and out through Christ and keep moving. The journey through January is about being rooted and renewed. For 4 weeks, I do a deep dive and cleanse to bring me to a discovery of me in fft (my Higher Calling). I’m a reader with 5 kids, a full-time job, and I plan to read 8 books in the month of January.
Every momma or woman needs her time, and what better time to reset than at the beginning of the year? And let’s not be mistaken; we can reset whenever we need to. But for 2026, I’m starting with self. I found 8 books that I will be reading in the month of January, which are:
- Get out your head by Jennie Allen
- The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo
- Woman Evolve by Sarah Jakes
- Eleanor Olipant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeymoon
- Emotionally Healthy Woman by Geri Scazzero
- Midnight Library by Matt Haig
- The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry by John Mark Comer
- The seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Each week I will be exploring different aspects and areas of my life. Come join me and subscribe. The week starts off January the 1st through the 7th, which is Reset and Release. It’s a way to start over again so that things can be different and to have a chance to do things differently. It’s a journey for you to come along. Stay tuned, I just might drop a workbook for this journey. Every week it something NEW.
